For your Suffolk business

Who you are
You are a soletrader or organisation operating in Suffolk that wants to make your workplace a safe place. You may run a shop, restaurant, cafe or small business and need to keep both staff and customers safe.
What you need
You need to comply with relevant health and safety regulations, so having First-Aid trained members of staff is essential. Or maybe you want to support your employee's career development or empower them by gaining an additional skill. Either way, we can support you in your goal.
What we provide
We provide comprehensive HSE-compliant training in First Aid at Work (FAW) and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and all relevant certifications for your business. We can also tailor our training to your specific working environment, with First Aid for different risk levels.
We can manage it for you
Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and First Aid requirements are something all larger organisations must to comply with, but you don’t want the stress of handling it all. As an employer you are responsible for making sure that whoever trains your staff is competent to do so, which is where Anglia CPR can help by managing it for you.
What training you need
HSE does not specify the number of first aiders you need in a UK workplace, as it depends on the number of employees and the nature of the work being carried out. Employers are expected to carry out a risk assessment to determine the number of First Aid-trained members of staff needed. HSE’s guidance states the following, based on a risk assessment determining a low-hazard working environment:
Fewer than 25 employees: At least one Appointed Person to manage first aid arrangements. This means looking after the equipment, facilities and calling the emergency services.
25-50 employees: At least one person trained in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW).
More than 50 employees: One person trained in First Aid at Work (FAW) is recommended for every 100 employees (or part thereof).
The above figures depend on the level of risk in an organisation, for example an office vs a manufacturing environment. The higher the risk, the higher the ratio of First Aid-trained persons to employees you are likely to need.
Our friendly, interactive courses focus on practical action so your staff will feel confident to deliver life-saving help, if ever required. We offer either regular scheduled courses or even private sessions tailored to your business. Once you’re qualified, we can set up regular refresher sessions, so your people are always ready to deal with any incident.

“This was an amazing course and Marie was very helpful to me in delivering the information needed. Coming into this course, I didn’t have much knowledge about first aid and wasn’t confident in performing this however, now having done this training I have left being very happy and assured about the basic needs to help someone.”
