Our Basic Life Support (BLS) courses are taught by Resuscitation Council accredited trainers, and equips clinical and nonclinical staff with the skills to recognise and respond to cardiac arrest, medical emergencies, and choking, ensuring prompt, coordinated action until advanced care arrives. Suitable for:

  • Nurses, Nursing Associates, Nursing Assistants, Dental Nurses, Practice Nurses

  • Health Care workers, Care Staff, Healthcare Assistants

  • GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates

  • Paramedics, AHPs, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Speech & Language Therapists

  • Dental Hygienists, Therapists, Reception, Clerical, Administrative, and non-clinical team members

All courses cover high-quality CPR, effective ventilation techniques using BVM (where appropriate), use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and oxygen use.

We focus on teamwork and communication during resuscitation, and tailor scenarios reflecting all sectors and settings, such as primary care settings, dental practices, nursing homes, social care provision, and care in service user homes. Resuscitation topics can include both adult and paediatric (infant/child) as necessary, and are adapted depending or role and scope of professional practice

These qualifications are suitable for both initial, and annual refresher training, to ensure you remain compliant with local governance, CQC, ARCP, GDC, mandatory training and, revalidation requirements.
